For I am the Lord your God; sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy.
~Leviticus 11:44~
This week we talked about qualities that describe God. We mentioned words like loving, forgiveness, respectful, fairness, patient, understanding and generous. Then we thought about someone we knew who possessed "Godlike qualities". During our guided reflection you shared this information with Jesus, and told Him why you selected that person.
Did you know that when you live your life with generosity, understanding and patience, then you, too, are holy? Yes, you! You are holy. What an awesome statement!
But lets face it. We don't become holy all at once. We grow in holiness. We make mistakes along the way. Everybody does, but that's okay because we learn from them. Each day we wake up and try again. Remember that the Holy Spirit is always there to guide you, and Jesus is there for us any time we need him. Blest are we.

We also spent time studying how the gifts of the Holy Spirit help those who are confirmed. These gifts are: wisdom, understanding, right judgement, courage, knowledge, reverence, and wonder & awe. Continue thinking about how these gifts can help you as a disciple of Jesus.
Finally, we created Confirmation Celebration Story Board posters with assigned groups. We'll have some time next week to finish up. Each group will present their work to the class, so please be prepared.

Homework:
1.) Read pages 100-104 and do questions on page 104
2.) On a separate sheet of paper write out your response to the "Reflect & Pray" statement on page 105.
Lord, fulfill your promise: send your Holy Spirit to make us witnesses before the world to the Good News proclaimed by Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Have a wonderful week!
Many blessings,
Mrs. D.
