I Am Always with You

During Monday's guided reflection we used our imaginations to go back in time to be with Jesus and the disciples in Galilee. As we joined the disciples and observed them, we were able to open our hearts and receive the message and the promise that Jesus offered...

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

~Matthew 28:19-20~

Now Jesus doesn't expect us to go to China, Russia, or Kenya, right? But if people do whatever they can wherever they live, then Jesus' message will reach every nation. That doesn't sound quite so challening, does it?

Jesus continues and we listen. What are the things He means when He says "everything that I have commanded you"? Think about some of the most important things Jesus said to do. For example, "Love God with all your heart and soul, with all of yourself. Love one another as I have loved you." Do you remember anything else Jesus said?

Let's also think about what Jesus did and how he treated people. He wants you to do the same with the people that you meet. What are some ways you will do this? Continue to think about it this week.

Jesus has one more important thing to say: "And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Jesus is telling you that He is with you, always with you, every minute of every day, until the end of the world.

Homework: Complete Take Home Test and return to me next Monday.

Reminder: Next week we'll be attending mass during class. Please remember to serve as role models for the third graders we'll be sitting with. They'll be looking up to you! We'll also review how to genuflect as a class.

Have a wonderful week!

Many blessings,
Mrs. D.
